The Los Angeles District Attorneys Office had no intentions of confronting AC Cowlings and or Anthony Pellicano in the OJ Simpson matter. Instead of pursuing them, the LADA prosecutors gave AC the "wink and the nod" to disappear and openly "embraced" Anthony Pellicano to "baby sit" his good friend, Mark Fuhrman. As soon as Mr. Pellicano was retained (with LADA and LAPD tacit approval) "The Hollywood Godfather" immediately returned to his old "bag of tricks" by intimidating witnesses and recruiting tabloid TV and newspapers outlets to do his dirty business....for a hefty profit.
The sleaze factor was unleashed by Pellicano on information that was filtered to him via LAPD Detective Mark Fuhrman and Mark Arneson. In fact, Det. Arneson was bragging that Mark Fuhrman (an LAPD STUD) was dating Nicole Brown Simpson and claimed that Mark Fuhrman had seen Nicole's anatomy more often then OJ Simpson.
With Anthony Pellicano in the lead and on the payroll of tabloid m
edia, the "National Enquirer" became a dominant player in the OJ Simpson investigation. Geraldo Rivera and others were positioned to control and make the news instead of reporting the news. (More in the book)
As an example, one of Anthony Pellicano's first alleged casualties was the strange burglary of the office of psychotherapist, Jennifer Ameli on September 15, 1994. The only thing taken in this "Watergate type break in" were the files of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson.
According to LAPD Robbery Homicide Division reports, Dr. Ameli (married to a Los Angeles attorney) told police and others that OJ Simpson had threatened Ron Goldman just before the killings. The National Enquirer reported that Goldman was romantically involved with Nicole Simpson and CNBC-TV's "Rivera Live" host Geraldo Rivera claimed to have seen Dr. Ameli's billing records. This entire sensationalized episode was well coordinated and staged.... to frame a guilty man. (More in the book)
